University of Basrah discusses a master's thesis on (Preparation and diagnosis of some derivatives of dihydro-1,3,4-oxadiazole and studying their biological effectiveness against esophageal cancer)

The College of Education for Pure Sciences in the Department of Chemistry discussed a master's thesis on the preparation and diagnosis of some derivatives of dihydro-1,3,4-oxadiazole and studying their biological effectiveness against esophageal cancer. The thesis submitted by the researcher (Sabreen Mahdi Hassan) included the preparation of ten derivatives of dihydro-1,3,4-oxadiazole, where the preparation methods included three techniques:
The first method is the traditional method (reverse sublimation), while the second method uses ultrasound technology, and the third method is photochemistry and a comparison is made between the three methods.
The prepared compounds were identified through spectral techniques such as infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance NMR -1H-NMR -13C and mass spectrometry (El).
The biological effectiveness of the prepared derivatives was also studied for esophageal cancer cells of the SKGT-4 type and normal esophageal cells of the Vero type, where the prepared derivatives showed high inhibitory activity against this type of cancer cells.
