About the physics department

The Department of Physics was established in 1975 - 1976 with the establishment of the College of Education. The department aims to graduate students as teachers for Iraqi secondary schools. And by granting the department a bachelor’s degree in physics, where the graduate is qualified to teach physics in secondary schools. The department’s graduates are also qualified for postgraduate studies, conduct scientific research and work in physics laboratories. In addition, some of the physics department’s teachers contributed to authoring and translating several textbooks, methodology, assistance and publishing research Specialized pure and applied.
