Student activities of any kind during your study trip to the university are one of the most important things that you should participate in or experience. Because volunteer work undoubtedly benefits those who do it, especially that you do not have to do it, but if you stick to it, it definitely means that you benefit from the activity you are doing.
Why participate in the activities of my students at the university?
In the beginning, if you are lucky at the beginning of your university days, you will meet some university professors and teaching assistants who will tell you that the university is not only for studying, but also to practice your multiple talents, and to invest your energy in any field, whether it is cultural, social, developmental, artistic or sports activity, and whatever its form. Foundation, whether it is the student union or student families or simulation models and other institutions. Or you'll meet a lot of older students in your T-shirts and they tell you about joining them but you don't know what they're doing, yeah that's the student activities and simulations we're talking about. In fact, many of us do not commit to attending all the lectures or do not go home directly to study or do the academic tasks required of him, so why not use this time to develop our personalities and skills to face the job market after graduation?
Here are a group of encouraging reasons to join student activities at the university.
1- Student activities are considered a link between university studies and the labor market, because they will help you develop the practical skills required in the labor market, such as using different computer programs, graphic design programs, video and many more, in addition to helping you develop research skills.
2- Social relationships, if you feel that you are an introverted person or you cannot build friendships with your classmates because there is no room to open up a conversation between you, student activities are the place you are welcome to, which will help you get to know a lot of people, whether they are from your university or From other universities, or if they are your age, older or younger, you will find yourself able to deal with many people and you will definitely benefit from them, and you will feel confident in yourself later.
3- Diplomacy, although there are many student activities based on simulation, in which students represent delegations, whether from countries, parties or public figures, and adopt their ideas and discuss them through a representative conference of a particular organization such as the United Nations, the League of States or the American Congress, However, this is not what I mean by diplomacy, what I mean is that you will learn to understand with others, and not cling to your opinion at any stage of your work together, which if you did not learn during university, it will surprise you after graduation, that your opinion is not the most important thing, so The development of communication skills is one of the things that affect student activities.
4- Teamwork, working in a team with a group of people is certainly one of the things that you have to experience and engage in, and in student activities it is different from teamwork to carry out study projects that are required of you within the college, because in student activities you are involved in that you do this voluntarily With all your desire it is not something you should have, so you enjoy doing it together.
5- Assuming responsibility, your commitment as a university student to several tasks that are not very different from the tasks assigned to you in the work environment after graduation is one of the things that will make you a good candidate for employers after your graduation, because you were doing important work and is not considered simple and voluntary, i.e. without any pay and you were committed to doing.
