Mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is an analytical method that combines the features of gas chromatography and mass spectrometry to identify various substances within a test sample. Applications of GC-MS include drug detection, fire investigation, environmental analysis, explosives investigation, identification of unknown samples and separation of natural compounds. It is one of the important devices in the Department of Chemistry, College of Education for Pure Sciences, and has helped many researchers and graduate students in completing their research, master's theses and doctoral thesis.
