*The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research has approved the transfer of students between the College of Education/Al-Qurna and the colleges of the University of Basra, and vice versa.*
We urge students to circulate their transfer applications starting Sunday, August 10, 2025. The application process is as follows:
1. The student begins circulating their transfer application from their original college by submitting an official request to the science department. A special form must be completed, and the required documents listed at the end of this announcement must be attached to the application. This is for successful and repeating students only.
2. Transfers must be from the original college/science department to a corresponding college and corresponding science department in the governorate of residence of the student to whom they wish to transfer or be hosted.
3. The transfer process will be based on two axes:
✓ Circulating a paper application from the original college, as mentioned in paragraph (1).
✓ Completing the transfer or hosting form electronically from the original college as well.
4. The fees for circulating the transfer application, as stipulated by the Ministry, are 2,000 dinars per transfer application. 5. Only students who have successfully completed their transfer from the first to the second stage, or from the second to the third stage, are eligible to promote their transfer applications.
6. Students in their final years are not eligible to promote their transfer applications unless they have been hosted for two consecutive years in the same college to which they wish to transfer. They are permitted to transfer even if they are in their final years.
7. Students accepted for the 2025-2026 academic year are not eligible to promote their transfer applications.
