The College of Education for Pure Sciences organizes a memorial service for one of its members.

The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra held a memorial service for the late Murtadha Hassan Hussein, a member of the college staff. The service was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, along with faculty members, staff, and the deceased's family.

The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the Dean, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, who recalled the virtues of the deceased, his good character, his dedication to his work, and his excellent relationships with his colleagues. He emphasized that the college had lost one of its most loyal members.

Afterwards, the Director of Human Resources, Engineer Mustafa Abdul-Ridha Salem, delivered a speech highlighting the personal and professional aspects of the deceased's life, recalling his positive impact on his colleagues at the college.

The ceremony also included a religious lecture delivered by Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Jassim Al-Maliki, a faculty member in the Physics Department. He discussed the connection between death and the days of the holy month of Ramadan, exploring the spiritual and religious significance of these blessed days and their role in reminding people of the true nature of life and preparing for the afterlife. The ceremony concluded with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the deceased, asking God Almighty to have mercy on him and grant him a place in Paradise.
