The College of Education for Pure Sciences Council at the University of Basrah  held its eleventh regular open session for the 2024-2025 academic year, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, and attended by the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Administrative Affairs, and all members. At the beginning of the session, the chair welcomed all members. The session included discussions on the following:

1- Directives from the University President: Regarding preparations for the new academic year 2025-2026.

2- Postgraduate Studies Dates: Confirming the start dates for postgraduate students in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education for the year 2025-2026.

3- SIS Program: Discussing obstacles to the SIS program, following up on data entry for the Student Management System (SIS), and ensuring the entry of all data related to students, staff, and faculty.

4- Infrastructure Development: Monitoring all infrastructure and completing deficiencies, such as department buildings and halls, in preparation for the 2025-2026 academic year.

5- Department Heads' Comments: Discussing their comments on the 2024-2025 academic year.

6- Official Letters: Reading and discussing some official Ministry letters.

7- Postgraduate Studies: Discussing the distribution of projects to master's and doctoral students and confirming the formation of committees to approve them.
