As part of the celebrations of the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of the University of Basrah
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, and a number of official figures, led by the Governor of Basra, Engineer Asaad Al-Eidani, a ceremony was held to honor the professors and employees, and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Professor Dr. Majid Muhammad Jassim.
The President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, honored both Professor Dr. Moayed Youssef, Head of the Chemistry Department, who ranked first in the Iraqi classification of public and private universities. All heads of scientific departments and distinguished teachers in the College of Education for Pure Sciences were honored.

The President of the University, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad, said that this honor is a gesture towards developing and upgrading the educational process by motivating teachers and employees at the university to achieve quality and excellence in performance, encouraging positive competition, and developing the spirit of initiative that contributes to developing and developing the skills of university employees.
Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim explained that the honor aims to create a work environment that contributes to the advancement of the university within the international rankings of universities, maintaining the level of the university and improving its services to the surrounding community, and encourages the development of the performance and skills of professors and employees,
