University of Basrah discusses a master’s thesis on (preparation and study of the biological effectiveness of indole derivatives)

The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  in the Department of Chemistry discussed a master’s thesis on the preparation and study of the biological effectiveness of indole derivatives.
The message submitted by the researcher (Zainab Hashem Mahdi) included:
Indole is a heterocyclic compound. It has a bicyclic structure consisting of a benzene ring linked to a pyrrole ring. It is a natural compound found in many plants, especially cruciferous vegetables. It has many derivatives and has many benefits and is characterized by its biological effectiveness. Therefore, the main goal was to prepare heterocyclic derivatives of indole.
First: Preparation of the compound 1H-indole-3-carbhydrazide from the reaction of methyl indole-3-carboxylate with hydrazine and ethanol as a solvent. It is a basic compound for preparing derivatives, and four types of heterocyclic compounds were prepared from it.
First class:-
Preparation of triazole derivatives of indole in three steps by converting the ester to hydrazide using hydrazine, which was used to prepare triazole.
The second category: -
Preparation of Schiff bases from the hydrazide compound of indole by reacting it with some aldehydes.
