The University of Basrah organizes a scientific lecture entitled (Inverse Problems with Applications)

The College of Education for Pure Sciences in the Department of Mathematics organized a scientific lecture entitled Inverse Problems with Applications
The lecture presented by the researcher (Zahraa Raad Jawad) included:
It explains the concept of inverse problems and the history of their development, in addition to the science and applications associated with them. Then, the types of inverse problems are presented, which are divided into three types, and the methods of verifying them: analytical, statistical, and organizational for poorly presented inverse problems, and the last method is the one that we will focus on in our future work. The mathematical concepts used were studied, namely Gradient, Laplace, Divergence, as well as the problem of the function concept, total variation, the Euler-Lacrange equation, and the Gradient Descent method. A mathematical model for an inverse problem, which is the Rudin-Osher-Fatemi model, was studied and solved numerically using the finite difference method. Finally, the future work suggested in our study is explained.
