Organized by the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra, Department of Mathematics. A course on teaching and life skills necessary for a faculty member
The course was moderated by Professor Dr. Abdel Wahed Mahmoud Mohamed. At the beginning of the course, Dr. Haitham Abdel Sada, Head of the Mathematics Department, congratulated the new teaching staff on joining the family of faculty members in the College of Education for Pure Sciences, wishing them every success. The course was attended by a number of faculty members. Teaching, in which Professor Dr. Abdel Wahed Mahmoud Mohamed presented a number of topics related to the most important teaching and life skills necessary for them, as well as a reminder of the ethics of the teaching profession and the most important scientific and applied transformations taking place in today’s world and their implications for university education. The course also included an explanation of the modern roles of a member The teaching staff and the most important concerns they must adhere to, including: specialization, language, professional and social behavior, appearance, and the university professor’s relationship with his university institution and students.
At the conclusion of the course, the participants affirmed their keenness to achieve excellence and creativity in their tasks, especially teaching, research and community service tasks
