The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  organized a scientific lecture entitled Maleimide derivatives and their biological effectiveness
The lecture presented by the researcher (Saja Jassim Faisal) included the identification of maleimide derivatives due to their biological importance in medical and therapeutic applications as antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant and anticancer.
They are heterocyclic compounds that contain two carbonyl groups attached to a nitrogen atom and are considered to be cyclic imide derivatives.
It comes in many ways
The lecture concluded with the importance and effectiveness of these compounds as promising compounds in the treatment of MCF-7 breast cancer cells.
