The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a course entitled (Safety Measures in the Laboratory), which was presented by the lecturer (Professor Kamel Hussein Al-Sudani) / Department of Chemistry
It included the following topics:
1- Hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.
2- Get rid of all unnecessary and redundant chemicals.
3- Reducing hazardous waste, especially radioactive ones.
The session was attended by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdel Sattar Jaber Ali and Mr. Head of the Chemistry Department, Prof. Dr. Jassim Muhammad Saleh and a group of professors of the department and the rest of the departments and students of postgraduate studies. This was in the Knowledge Hall in the College of Education for Pure Sciences. A discussion took place between the lecturer and the attending professors about the mechanism of discouraging and neutralizing some waste. Scientific and postgraduate students from time to time to find solutions to some of the obstacles they face in scientific research.
