The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  organized a scientific lecture entitled Approximation using the double sum of the Baskakov effect

In this study, we define a new operator of the double sum type of the Baskakov effect. First, we proved the normal convergence of it, and then the convergence of the derivatives of this effect to the derivatives of functions in space within the period.
We proved some issues and theorems related to the new effect, and we referred to the definition of torque for the effect under study.
We also found the order of convergence using Frnovsky's theorem. Our study was supported by practical examples to prove that our operator is faster in its convergence than the usual Baskakov operator.
By taking a function as a test function and values, we concluded practically that our effect is much better than the usual Baskakov effect.
