The Women’s Empowerment Unit in the College of Education for Pure Sciences hosts the professors of the College of Law in an interactive symposium entitled (Nun al-Niswa and Ta’ al-Tani’ah and unwritten lines between them)

It hosted the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the College of Education for Pure Sciences, in cooperation with the Educational Counseling and Psychological Guidance Unit and the Center for Development and Continuing Education, on Tuesday 3/14/2023.
The seminar included the following lectures
The first lecture - Assistant Professor of Private Law
The moderation of Abdel-Baqi Youssef
The lecture dealt with the legal clauses related to women's rights arising from the marriage contract (her rights in and before engagement - her rights after marriage - women's financial rights)
The second lecture - Assistant Professor of Private Law
Wafaa Yassin Najm
The lecture explained the relevant legal paragraphs
The rights of working women in Iraq (general rights - special rights)
The third lecture - the doctor's teacher in private law
Khalil Ibrahim Abd
The lecture showed the following legal legislation
An overview of women's rights in ancient Iraqi laws (Sumerian civilization - Babylonian civilization)
And the rights of Iraqi women in Iraqi legislation for the period (1925 AD-2022 AD)
And polygamy between Islamic law and modern legislation in the Iraqi state
And an overview of marriage and divorce statistics for the period (2020-2023 AD).
And polygamy is a right or a permissibility in Islamic law and Iraqi law.
And the second wife, a victim or a perpetrator, is a look in the corridors of the Iraqi judiciary.
There was a dialogue between the attendees and students, answering questions and voting on the paragraphs dealt with in the symposium
And different opinions differed, and the difference in opinion does not spoil the friendliness of an issue. The participating professors were honored by Mr. Associate Administrative Dean, Professor Dr. Majed Muhammad Jassim.
