The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  organized a scientific lecture entitled (Petrov-Space-time method for non-continuous Calcan elements to solve diffusion and convection issues)
The lecture presented by the researcher (Mohamed Walid Abdel-Ridha) included the (Petrov- Discontinuous Galerkin) method as a development of the Discontinuous Galerkin method, where we used this method to treat the fluctuation that occurs in diffusion and convection issues when the convection coefficient is small and the diffusion coefficient is large. The method was applied using different grid space at different temporal scales. Where the properties of ellipticity, continuity and stability have been demonstrated, and we have proven that the approximate solution converges with the order error. A numerical experiment was conducted to confirm the theoretical conclusions.
