Basrah University organizes a workshop entitled (Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering)

The College of Education for Pure Sciences, on the premises of the Knowledge Hall, organized a workshop organized by the Department of Physics entitled (Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering) in the presence of the scientific assistant, Prof. Abdel Sattar Jaber Ali and the administrative assistant, Prof. Dr. Majid Muhammad Jassim, the head of physics values Prof. Dr. Jabbar Mansour Khalaf, professors and postgraduate students in the Department of Physics and other departments of the college, and students of preliminary studies
The workshop included recent topics in the field of nanotechnology and its applications. The lecturers reviewed the latest global developments and their research in this field. The workshop began with verses from the Holy Quran, Republican peace, and standing to read Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. After that, Prof. Dr. Furat Ahmed Mahdi, the opening lecture, which dealt with a general introduction to nanotechnology, and the workshop hosted Prof. Dr. Nader Abdel Ghaffar Ahmed from the University of Salford / Britain as a guest of honor and gave a valuable lecture on nano applications from the core of his research in British universities. Hashim Muhammad Jabbar (University of Basra / College of Science / Department of Physics) Lecture on the magnetic properties of nanomaterials and their organic applications.
The first day ended with a lecture by Dr. Mohamed Fadel Abdel Wahed from the Department of Physics
The lectures resumed for the second day on Thursday morning, when Prof. Dr. Mazen Awni Mahdi delivered a valuable lecture on the developments of the electronic and therapeutic industry with the development the world is witnessing in nanotechnologies. He reviewed some therapeutic methods using this technology, followed by a prof. Ahmed Saleh Mahdi to present a lecture on the development of supercapacitors, where he reviewed his latest research in this field
Prof. Dr. Furat Ahmed gave a lecture in which he reviewed his achievements and research in the Nanotechnology Laboratory, which was developed in the Department of Physics during the past year. Finally, Prof. Dr. Sondos Juma Fakher gave a valuable lecture on the dangers of nanotechnology, indicating that nanotechnology is not always towards development, but rather has its drawbacks.
The attendees praised the workshop’s lectures and its organization of specialized lectures. The attendees recommended that these workshops and seminars be repeated in order to develop scientific research and review the experiences of researchers, professors and postgraduate students.
