The University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education, held a seminar entitled (Electronic extortion and its impact on the personality of the university student)

The Educational Counseling Unit in the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education, held an advisory symposium entitled (Electronic extortion and its impact on the personality of the university student)

The symposium was moderated by Dr. Ihsan Ashour Mokshef and Dr. Zainab Jamil Abdel Jalil. The aim of the symposium was to raise awareness of the dangers of electronic extortion and its great impact on the life of the individual, especially the university student. The Iraqi also opened the symposium axes with a speech by the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Professor Dr. Faleh Hussein Khudair, then clarifying the religious and ethical aspect of the sanctity of electronic extortion through Dr. Ihsan Ashour Makshaf and clarifying the legal aspect of the penalty for the crime of electronic extortion, through a lecture delivered to our ears by Mr. Brigadier Bassem Ghanem Al-Maliki, Director of the Relations and Media Department at the Basra Police Directorate. The symposium also included a lecture for psychological counseling by Dr. Salman Fayyad Dawood, the supervisor of specialization in the Basra Education Directorate. The symposium also included honoring the lecturers.
