Basrah University organizes a scientific lecture entitled (Bioaccumulation of some heavy metals and their impact on biochemical parameters in shrimp)

The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra organized a scientific lecture entitled (Bioaccumulation of some heavy metals and their impact on biochemical parameters in shrimp)
The lecture presented by the student (Mahmoud Abdel Wahed Abboud) included a study of the economic importance of shrimp and the importance of heavy elements and the extent of their impact on public health and their danger on the one hand, and on the other hand focused on the biochemical standards of shrimp and their impact on the pollution of the aquatic environment due to these elements.
The study dealt with four types of elements, two basic, namely iron and copper, and two toxic elements, namely cadmium and lead
The biochemical parameters that were taken in this study are glucose, cholesterol, total protein, AST and ALT.
The purpose of the lecture
Follow up the bioaccumulation of heavy metals in both males and females.
Study of some biochemical parameters such as total protein, glucose, some stress enzymes and some antioxidants in the studied species.
The possibility of using shrimp as a bio-indicator of water pollution
Studying the effect of heavy metal accumulation on the biochemical parameters mentioned in the studied type.
Study of the semi-lethal concentration of the mentioned elements for the studied type.
