The Department of Chemistry organized an electronic lecture delivered by a doctoral student (Iman Saad Ali) through the FCC program, entitled (Removal of heavy metals from aquatic environments - an urgent need). The food chain of the organism, in addition to the methods of removing them from the aquatic environment using chelate polymers, the classification of these polymers, their definition, methods of preparation, the main mechanism of wastewater treatment using chelating polymers, acid-base theory (Pearson's theory) and the determination of the zero charge point, and the elements of the lecture dealt with Heavy using nanomaterials and embedding them within the polymer lattice to produce hybrid polymers, in addition to the use of chelated resins containing magnetic particles and their applications in the process of magnetic separation and recovery, as well as applications of chelated polymers in solar cells.
