As part of its efforts to promote environmental sustainability and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the campus, the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah has carried out a campaign to plant trees in green spaces and tend to the gardens and plants within the college grounds.
The campaign aims to expand green areas, improve the university environment, and add aesthetic touches to the college’s corridors and gardens. It also seeks to raise environmental awareness regarding the importance of tree planting and vegetation preservation, highlighting the positive impact these have on creating a healthy and pleasant campus environment.
Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, emphasized the importance of maintaining the college’s gardens and green spaces, as well as the need for ongoing care of trees and plants. He stressed the necessity of preserving the aesthetic quality of the college facilities and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship, noting that the preservation of green spaces is a shared responsibility among students, faculty, and staff.
