President of Basrah University inaugurates the first virtual dissection table in Iraq

The President of Basrah University, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, inaugurated the Virtual Anatomy Table project in the College of Medicine with 4K technology and high resolution in the presence of academics and officials, as it was introduced for the first time at the level of Iraqi universities.
Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim stated that the opening of the Virtual Anatomy Laboratory is a wonderful step to develop the practical, applied and scientific reality of the students of the College of Medicine and strengthens their skills because it simulates the real reality of anatomy according to an advanced technical system.
The importance of this table lies in providing an interactive virtual educational environment in human anatomy because it contains several programs specialized in this field to help the student reach the finest details in the parts of the human body and delve into information about each of these parts.
The virtual desks are an integrated system of hardware and software components. The hardware components include educational desks, a high-resolution projector, and a professor platform (seven-core) with high resistance to scratches, breakage, and liquids, and can withstand high temperatures and long operating hours. The software components include virtual anatomical programs and a licensed lecture management program. These components are linked to an internal wired network system to facilitate the lecture management process by the professor and the practical application process for the students.
