The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Biology, organized a workshop entitled The Academic Writing Journey
The workshop included the assistance of artificial intelligence-aided graduate students, hosted by Professor Dr. Muhannad Hamid Aboud Al-Maatouq, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at the Presidency of the University of Basrah, and Assistant Professor Dr. Arafat Rajab Ahmed.

Which dealt with important topics and basic pillars in the preparation of academic scientific research by employing artificial intelligence in precise ways that invest time and effort through programs prepared for a purely scientific purpose to help students in their academic journey. A practical application was conducted for a number of academic articles and research that shows how to use programs proficiently and employ them as much as possible to write Solid scientific research. Artificial intelligence contributes to guiding researchers on ways to complete research in the best and most complete manner
The workshop was enriched by a dialogue between lecturers and postgraduate students, in which a number of their questions and inquiries regarding the Ministerial Program for Developing Scientific Research Skills for Postgraduate Students (ASDPS) were answered.
The workshop concluded with a number of recommendations and proposals that will be submitted to the university presidency and to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the purpose of raising the scientific level of graduate students and overcoming all the difficulties and obstacles they face.
The students praised this workshop as being of a high level of importance and among the most important scientific activities that the students aspire to train, master and use in their research. In appreciation and gratitude for the generosity of the scientific and professional lecturers, certificates of appreciation were awarded to them in the presence of the Head of Biology Department, Professor Dr. Imad Youssef Awad.
