The College of Education for Pure Sciences, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education and the Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit, organized a workshop entitled "Workshop on Preparing Students for the Chemistry Department Laboratories". Guide and qualify first-year students on how to write a laboratory report, identify warning signs for chemicals, how to safely handle materials and glassware in the laboratory, in addition to safety procedures.

The workshop was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Asst. Ms. Dr. Haider Qasim Fadhel, and first-year students of the Chemistry and Life Sciences Department. It was held in the Knowledge Hall in the Halls Complex. The organizers of the workshop recommended (adherence to safety requirements in laboratories, caution in dealing with chemicals).
