Among the evaluation activities held by the Deanship of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah, the annual comparative scientific and administrative evaluation conference, which includes scientific, professional, administrative and cultural activities, which the college cadres and its scientific and administrative departments have made a great effort to accomplish in order to achieve the goals, vision and mission that were previously formulated according to the context Development in the development of the platform and the diagnosis of goals.
Where the annual calendar conference for the academic year 2022/2021 was held under the slogan (perseverance and sincerity is the path to excellence) under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Prof. Dr. Faleh Hussein Khudair, the respected, on 3/11/2022. The conference, the deans of some faculties at the university, and the director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department in the university presidency.
The conference opened its activities by reciting the Holy Qur’an, followed by the national anthem, then Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. The first axis of the conference included the scientific aspect presented by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul-Sattar Jaber Ali, the respected. For the college in the future by standing on the most important positive indicators of that process and the most important distinguished activities in the college from the calendar year and comparing them with its achievements in previous years in order to work on developing these indicators for the better in line with scientific and research progress in the corresponding colleges.
The second axis of the conference included the financial, administrative and organizational aspect, which was presented by the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Majid Muhammad Jassim, the respected, where he dealt with a detailed explanation about the infrastructure and the financial, organizational and service aspect, in addition to the aspect of reliability and the strategic plan of the college. The service and scientific field for the college buildings and their development, including green spaces, cafeterias, classrooms, and the development of advanced research laboratories.
The third axis included the axis of the scientific departments, which was presented by the heads of the scientific departments, and the most important distinguished activities of these departments were presented.
As for the fourth axis of the conference, it included honoring academically distinguished teachers with the Shield of Excellence, in appreciation of their efforts in their scientific career.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Faleh Hussein Khudair, explained that the main objective of the conference is to achieve the college's self-evaluation, as it is a cornerstone for raising the scientific level to achieve total quality. The conference also sought to uncover the most important obstacles and find successful solutions to them.
In conclusion, the Dean praised the great efforts made in the evaluation conference in a way that befits the University of Basra and the College of Education for Pure Sciences, and he hopes to establish more cultural and scientific events because it adds scientific information that enriches the scientific archives of the University in general and the College in particular.
