
Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra, Prof. Faleh Khudair Hussain stressed the need to intensify counseling meetings with college students in all departments and stages of study to help them develop their personalities and how to deal with the problems they face in university life or in public life. Within its program, the Academic Advising Unit organized a meeting with second-year students in the Department of Computers, with the participation of Prof. Abdul Wahed Mahmoud Muhammad Al-Taridi in the Department of Mathematics, where he stressed during his meeting with the students that the university represents a field of human thought at its highest levels, and an important source for investing human minds and energies, and it has a key role in developing human values and providing society with specialists and experts in various fields. And most of the faculties affiliated with the University of Basra, including the College of Education for Pure Sciences, are keen to prepare their inputs from students in an appropriate number in all respects and in accordance with the future transformations resulting from the great growth in technologies and information.
One of the important areas in the preparation is to achieve the moderate and balanced personality of the student, through educational and psychological guidance and counseling, because of its impact on the personal and social compatibility of the student, as well as creating opportunities for students to express their inclinations and develop their abilities and readiness through scientific, cultural and sports activities, lectures, meetings and seminars. Reducing the pressures and disturbances that the student may be exposed to as a result of facing problems that may affect his academic career.

The importance of managing time and using it appropriately for studies, exams, projects and rest, and not wasting most of the time using the mobile phone.
Stay away from permanently taking painkillers or any other psychotropic substances because of their psychological, health, social and economic effects on the person, his family and society.
Commitment to attendance, whether in person or electronically, and perseverance in studying to achieve success and academic excellence, and to avoid absenteeism or everything that leads to failure.
Commitment to virtuous values and morals, preservation of social customs and traditions, principles of the Islamic religion, and loyalty to the homeland.
