The College of Education for Pure Sciences in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Basra discussed the design of a security scheme to prevent social engineering attacks
The message presented by the researcher (Mustafa Hamid Hashem) included presenting a secure verification scheme that has the ability to overcome the problems related to cyber attacks in general and phishing attacks in particular, through which the information of legitimate users is stolen in a malicious way. In our proposed scheme, we relied on Schnorr Digital Signature and HMAC, which provide a high level of security. In addition, our proposed scheme can resist famous cyber attacks such as impersonation, middleman attack, retransmission, and user device theft attacks. Furthermore, the proposed scheme contains security features such as strong validation, routing secrecy, user identity anomalies, and zero tolerance for messages.
The message was deduced
Our proposed scheme overcomes cyber-attacks such as phishing attack, which is done by deceiving users with a fake link similar to the real one.
The proposed work can be applied in state departments such as health, military, and banking departments..etc
The proposed scheme has a high performance compared to the previous works in terms of computational complexity and the level of security it provides.
The message aims to design a security scheme that overcomes the above-mentioned problems with high efficiency, while preserving the privacy of users.
As well as to the possibility of implementing the proposed scheme in state departments, especially those dealing with private user data, such as the Department of Passports and Nationality
