The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences held a training course on the use of the newly arrived TGA (thermogravimetric analysis) device within a group of devices to provide the department with the latest scientific diagnostic devices, which contribute effectively to facilitating the work of researchers and graduate students and reducing the difficulties they face in conducting this Examinations outside the country, as it has become easier to conduct them inside our university and college. In general, this device (TGA) is used to measure the gravimetric analysis of various chemicals, polymers, ceramics and alloys.
It is also used in studying the thermal stability of various chemicals, measuring moisture content and volatile substances in samples, and studying oxidation and decomposition reactions.
