The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim—accompanied by a number of faculty members, staff, and students—participated in the funeral procession for Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her). This participation served as an expression of deep sorrow and devotion toward the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them), while honoring her virtuous life and her enduring legacy of sacrifice, patience, and steadfast adherence to Islamic principles and values.
This act reflects a profound spiritual and emotional bond with the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them) and acknowledges the exalted status that Lady al-Zahra (peace be upon her) holds in the hearts of Muslims, given that her life embodies the essence of purity, faith, and selflessness.
Through this participation, the College’s administration, staff, and students demonstrated their commitment to observing religious occasions that foster spiritual and human values, while reinforcing the ideals of love, loyalty, and dedication to the noble principles exemplified by the life of the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them).
We pray to God Almighty to accept these acts, to grant us the intercession of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), and to keep us steadfast upon the path of the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them)
