The University of Basrah continues to employ a direct, on-site approach to resolve obstacles and process administrative requests. Every Monday morning, the Citizens' Affairs Division hosts the University President, Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Al-Dahan, accompanied by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Khazaal, and the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ayman Saleh Neama.
These periodic meetings aim to save time and effort for students, faculty, and staff by addressing pending matters and issuing direct instructions to the relevant departments, thereby bypassing the need to wait for paper-based correspondence to move through traditional administrative channels.
During this week’s session, the University President explained that streamlining procedures and resolving administrative and academic issues are top priorities in the plan to improve the university environment. He noted that directly listening to staff and students fosters confidence in the senior administration and ensures fairness in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
