In response to an invitation from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Basra, Prof. Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra, participated in the ceremony held by the Consulate to mark the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
This participation reflects efforts to strengthen cooperation and communication between the University of Basra and the Chinese side, and to open new avenues for joint academic and scientific relations. Such initiatives contribute to advancing scientific research, exchanging expertise and knowledge, and leveraging the research experience of Chinese scholars in the fields of pure sciences.
On this occasion, the Dean extended his congratulations to the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Basra, Mr. Chen Peichong, wishing the People's Republic of China and its people continued progress and prosperity. He also presented the Consul General with the College of Education for Pure Sciences' commemorative plaque—bearing the name of the University of Basra and the College’s emblem—as a gesture of appreciation for the cooperative, scientific, and academic ties shared by both parties
