The University of Basrah announces significant progress in several research indicators related to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, according to the latest monitoring data for the period 2021–2025.
The university recorded growth in scientific output from 4,585 to 5,452, and an increase in international collaboration from 1,369 to 1,572. Furthermore, the number of research papers ranked among the top 10% globally, according to the FWCI index, rose from 392 to 430.
This progress is a result of the efforts of the University of Basrah's researchers and faculty members across its various academic departments, reflecting the university's commitment to enhancing the quality and impact of scientific research, expanding international collaboration, and improving its standing in global rankings.
