In an effort to strengthen cooperation between the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Education, the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, accompanied by the Director of the Quality Department at the College, Professor Dr. Hussein Ali Badran, paid an official visit to the Basra Governorate Education Directorate. They were received by the Director General of Education, Mr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Atabi.

The meeting focused on ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides. Discussions included the signing of a scientific and academic cooperation agreement to solidify the partnership between the two institutions. They also agreed to form a joint high-level committee tasked with preparing periodic reports and conducting studies and statistical analyses to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the College of Education for Pure Sciences' graduates. This will contribute to developing academic programs and improving the quality of graduates to meet the needs of the education sector.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and the exchange of expertise to achieve integration between higher education and education institutions and enhance the quality of teacher training, thus serving the educational process in Basra Governorate. For his part, the Director General of Education in Basra Governorate expressed his welcome for this visit, praising the initiative which reflects the keenness of the College of Education for Pure Sciences to build effective partnerships with educational institutions, and stressing that this cooperation represents an important step towards achieving common goals and improving the educational process
