The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences participates in a meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Education for Pure Sciences at Maysan University

As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's ongoing efforts to develop the academic landscape and enhance cooperation among Iraqi universities, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra, participated in the first periodic meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Education for Pure Sciences. This meeting, hosted by the College of Education at the University of Maysan for the 2025-2026 academic year, was held in line with the Ministry's directives to elevate the scientific and academic standards of Iraqi universities.

The meeting addressed several important topics, most notably the standardization of curricula across Colleges of Education for Pure Sciences, the introduction of new postgraduate specializations, and the establishment of new academic departments in newly established universities.

The meeting also discussed the implementation of the Bologna Process in Colleges of Education for Pure Sciences for the upcoming academic year, in addition to forming a high-level committee to oversee priorities for improving the academic performance of the colleges.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee chair commended the efforts of the college deans in developing the scientific and professional capabilities of their staff, which contributes to the advancement of higher education in Iraqi universities. This participation reflects our college and university’s keenness to actively engage in scientific forums and contribute to shaping academic policies that support the quality of higher education, thus contributing to the educational process in Iraq
