Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, received the National Ministerial Assessment Team for Program Accreditation, affiliated with the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the eligibility of the Bachelor's degree programs in the Physics and Computer Science departments at the college, as part of the Ministry and the University's ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality standards and achieve national accreditation for academic programs

The ministerial team's visit included detailed field visits to assess the availability of the approved requirements and standards in the academic departments. The delegation reviewed the educational environment, laboratories, study plans, and program documents that ensure the quality of educational outcomes, as well as the college's infrastructure and facilities, and their compliance with the standards set by the Ministry according to the mechanisms for granting program accreditation to Colleges of Education for Pure Sciences in Iraq.
The University President also met with the members of the ministerial team in his office, commending the efforts made to improve the academic performance of the colleges. For his part, the Dean of the College expressed his thanks and appreciation to the team members for the constructive feedback they provided, which included identifying strengths and areas for improvement, contributing to the development of educational programs and raising the level of academic performance.
