Following the directives of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department, Mr. Haider Abdul-Amir, delivered the funds raised during the donation campaign to the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Mr. Hassanein Al-Safi.

Mr. Abdul-Amir explained that the total amount collected during the campaign was 24,135,000 Iraqi dinars and $600, in addition to 1,000,630 Tomans, as well as a gold ring and earrings, all in support of the Iranian and Lebanese people.

He emphasized that this campaign comes in response to the call of the Supreme Religious Authority and embodies the spirit of humanitarian solidarity that characterizes the members of the University of Basra community in all its diversity. In closing, the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the University as the official sponsor of the campaign. He also commended the great efforts made by the deans, faculty members, staff, students, and those in charge of collecting donations, who responded to the call of the Supreme Religious Authority and contributed to providing support and assistance to their brothers in light of the circumstances they are going through
