The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Life Sciences, organized an awareness campaign on women's health and the importance of early detection of breast cancer, on the occasion of International Women's Day, Sunday, March 15, 2026.
The campaign was conducted by a group of faculty members from the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Life Sciences, in cooperation with a number of students from the department. Its aim was to raise health awareness among students and faculty about the importance of early screening and its role in reducing the risk of breast cancer and increasing the chances of recovery.
The campaign included the distribution of informational brochures containing comprehensive information about the symptoms of the disease, its stages, causes, and the most prominent methods of prevention, as well as the importance of regular checkups and self-examination.
The campaign was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, who praised these awareness initiatives that contribute to promoting health awareness within the university community. He emphasized the Deanship's support for such activities that serve students and contribute to building a conscious and healthy society
