Important Announcement

Based on the directives of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, the Department of Media and Government Communication is organizing a series of vigils of condolence and condemnation. These vigils, in which university faculty, staff, and students will participate, are held to denounce the American and Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and to condemn the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader, Sayyid Ali al-Husseini al-Khamenei (may God have mercy on him).

The vigils will be held as follows:

University Presidency Vigil — chaired by the President of the University of Basra.

Bab Al-Zubair Campus Vigil — chaired by the Dean of the College of Arts.

 Karma Ali Campus Vigil — chaired by the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.

These vigils are an expression of condolences and sympathy, a unified university stance in condemning the attacks targeting the security and stability of nations, and a reaffirmation of the University of Basra's role in upholding humanitarian values, principles of solidarity, and the rejection of aggression.

All faculty, staff, and students of the university are invited to actively participate.
