The Council of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra held its fourth regular open session for the 2025-2026 academic year, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, and attended by the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Vice Dean for Administrative Affairs, and all members. At the beginning of the session, the chair welcomed all members. The session included discussions on the following:

1- University Council Directives: Regarding the first semester examinations for the 2025-2026 academic year.

2- First Semester Examinations: Discussion of the procedures for the first semester examinations for postgraduate and undergraduate students, including the preparation of examination halls and logistical arrangements.

3- Start Dates for the Second Semester 2025-2026: Confirmation of the start dates for postgraduate students on January 19, 2026, and for undergraduate students in the second, third, and fourth years on February 1, 2026, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

4- SIS System: Discussion of proposals and solutions to address problems that have arisen with the system, and confirmation of the completion of all student data.

5- Official Documents: Reading and discussing some official documents from the Ministry.

6- Report of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs: Review of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs' report on the progress of the educational process.

7- Report of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs: Review of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs' report on the progress of administrative work in the college
