University of Basra organizes a scientific seminar on(Beyond Euclid: A Journey Through Unconventional Worlds)

The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Mathematics, organized a distinguished scientific seminar entitled "Beyond Euclid: A Journey Through Unconventional Worlds." The seminar featured Dr. Abdullah Kurdiyor from Turkey, who delivered a rich lecture exploring the concepts of Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry and their wide-ranging applications in various scientific and educational fields.

The seminar aimed to highlight recent developments in Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry, as well as their applications in modern science, engineering, and technology. It also sought to enhance the capabilities of students and researchers and open new avenues for scientific and research collaboration with academic institutions.

The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, attended the seminar and commended this scientific activity, praising its importance in broadening the horizons of knowledge and strengthening research cooperation with academic institutions.

The seminar also witnessed a large academic turnout, with the Department of Mathematics welcoming the lecturers and affirming its readiness to enhance scientific, research, and educational cooperation to contribute to the advancement of the field
