The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Physics, has submitted a master's thesis on "Radiation Regulation of Drinking and Tap Water in Basra Governorate."

The thesis, presented by researcher Zahraa Hafez Ahmed, aimed to measure gamma radiation levels, calculate the equivalent dose, and estimate the lifetime cancer risk resulting from the consumption of drinking and tap water in Basra Governorate. The results showed that all values fall within the permissible limits, confirming the absence of radioactive contamination in drinking and tap water within the governorate.
