
The College of Education for Pure Sciences Council at the University of Basra held its twelfth regular open session for the 2024-2025 academic year, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim, and attended by the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Administrative Affairs, and all members. At the beginning of the session, the chair welcomed all members. The session included discussions on the following:
1. Directives of the University President: Regarding preparations for the new academic year 2025-2026
2. Second-round exams: Discussing preparations for the second-round exams for graduate and undergraduate students on September 1, 2025, including the preparation of halls and logistical matters (exam notebooks and water).
3. Start dates for the 2025-2026 academic year: Confirmation of the start dates for graduate students on September 1, 2025, and for undergraduate students on September 21, 2025, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
4- SIS System: Discuss proposals and solutions to address system issues, ensuring the accurate and complete entry of all data related to students, staff, and faculty.
5- Infrastructure Development: Monitor all infrastructure and address deficiencies, such as department buildings and halls, in preparation for the 2025-2026 academic year.
6- Uniforms: Form central committees to monitor undergraduate and graduate students' adherence to the uniform, in accordance with the Ministry's instructions.
7- Central Ceremony: Discuss preparations for the central graduation ceremony at the University of Basra.
8- Official Letters: Read and discuss some official Ministry letters.
9- Report from the Scientific Assistant: Review the Scientific Assistant's report on the progress of the educational process.
10- Report from the Administrative Assistant: Review the Administrative Assistant's report on the progress of administrative work at the college.
