University of Basrah is researching a doctoral thesis on (Preparation and identification of some 1,2,3-triazole compounds and their evaluation against breast cancer MCF-7 cell line)

The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Chemistry, has submitted a doctoral thesis on "Preparation and Identification of Some 1,2,3-Triazole Compounds and Their Evaluation Against Breast Cancer Cell Line MCF-7." The thesis, presented by researcher Mohammed Khalaf Mohammed, included the preparation of a series of 1,2,3-triazole compounds through the cycloaddition reaction of some organic azides with various unsaturated compounds (beta-diketone, acetylene dicarboxylate, and maleimide derivatives). The prepared compounds were characterized using FT-IR spectroscopy, HNMR, 13CNMR, and mass spectrometry. These techniques confirmed the validity of the prepared compounds. The prepared compounds were also evaluated against breast cancer cell line MCF-7, with some compounds showing good efficacy, others showing moderate efficacy, and others showing weak efficacy
