
As part of the celebrations of the 61st anniversary of the founding of the University of Basra, under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, and a number of official figures, a ceremony was held to honor professors and staff. The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Professor Dr. Majid Mohammed Jassim. The President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, honored Professor Dr. Adel Amala, a lecturer in the Chemistry Department and recipient of the Science Day Award for a patent that won first place in the Iraqi classification of public and private universities. Distinguished staff members at the College of Education for Pure Sciences were also honored. The Director of the Dean's Office, Ms. Ghaida Abdul Sahib Al-Khalifa, received the Shield of Excellence. The President of the University, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad, stated that this honor is an initiative towards developing and advancing the educational process by motivating faculty and staff at the university to achieve quality and excellence in performance, encouraging positive competition, and fostering a spirit of initiative that contributes to the development and advancement of skills among university employees. Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim explained that the honor aims to create a work environment that contributes to the advancement of the university. The university maintains its global rankings, improves its services to the surrounding community, and encourages the development of the performance and skills of faculty and staff. It also commends the efforts of the university's faculty and staff in serving the educational process
