The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah celebrates the sixty-first anniversary of the founding of the University of Basrah

In celebration of the university's founding anniversary, the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah held its annual festival to mark the sixty-first anniversary of the founding of the University of Basrah. This university has been distinguished by its contributions, having graduated numerous scholars, thinkers, and innovators in various scientific and humanities fields. The Dean of the College, Professor Majid Mohammed Jassim, inaugurated the scientific, cultural, and artistic exhibitions organized by the college's departments. He was accompanied by the Assistant Dean of Administration, Professor Dakhel Zaghir, the Assistant Dean of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Qasim, the heads of the scientific departments, the directors of the administrative departments and divisions, and a group of college professors and students. The exhibitions, in which a number of college faculty members and students participated, featured a display of the most important scientific outputs, including research, patents, and faculty research activities. They also featured a display of the most important scientific experiments, biology, and stuffed living organisms created by students. The event also included an exhibition selling cultural, scientific, religious, and literary books, and a bazaar selling handicrafts, crafts, and food products. In addition, the results of specialized scientific projects by undergraduate students were displayed in the fields of robotics, smart systems, remote sensing, and nanotechnology. The celebration concluded with honoring the faculty members who received the Science Day Award, honoring a number of outstanding students, and poetry activities by college students glorifying the martyrs of Iraq and the Islamic nation
