The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Chemistry, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education, organized a training workshop on "Computational Chemistry." The workshop, delivered by Prof. Kawkab Ali Hussein and a group of faculty members, included an introduction to computational chemistry and its importance for graduate students in simulating and predicting molecular structures and physical properties using various types of calculations, such as semi-empirical calculations and density functional theory calculations. Training was also provided on the use of HyperChem and Arcoslab programs
