
The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Computer Science, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit, held a scientific symposium on the impact of traditional and digital drugs on individual health and nervous system activity. The symposium addressed the following topics:
Assistant Professor Salma Saeed Abbas (Physiological signs and symptoms of drug users)
Assistant Professor Zainab Hamza Abbas (The role of the social aspect in treating drug addiction)
Assistant Professor Amal Ali Yassin (Narcotic plants and herbs and their role in saving and destroying people)
The symposium also addressed the drug and psychotropic substance use screening form for graduate students in Iraq for the academic year 2024-2025, in accordance with Ministerial Order No. B T H/43 83 dated August 28, 2025, regarding the requirements for admission to studies, and the most important legal provisions stipulated in Law 50 of 2017 on drugs and psychotropic substances, published in the Iraqi Gazette, Issue No. 4446.
