The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Physics, organized a symposium on clean energy and reducing emissions. The symposium, which was moderated by Professor Ali Abdul Hussein Al-Madhoush, representative of the National Clean Energy Initiative, in collaboration with a group of lecturers, was launched by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers. A study was conducted on environmental pollution and global warming, focusing on the National Clean Energy Initiative, global climate conferences, Iraq's role in them, and the decisions of the Council of Ministers regarding this initiative. The symposium recommended that the university take its role in this initiative as the nucleus of change in the country, and that the topic of this competition be included in university programs, including conferences, symposia, workshops, graduation projects, postgraduate studies, and guidance on the practical application of this initiative through voluntary campaigns in afforestation and publishing awareness posters for the initiative's items.
