The University of Basrah holds its annual festival on the occasion of World Mathematics Day

“Mathematics has contributed greatly to building human civilization today. It is the science with which all natural sciences are connected, so it is natural for us to celebrate it on its International Day.”
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, the respected Prof. Dr. Majed Mohammed Jassim. The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Mathematics, held its annual festival on the occasion of International Mathematics Day, sponsored and supervised by the Head of the Mathematics Department, Dr. Haitham Abdel-Sada Rakeez, and the department’s rapporteur, Dr. Muhannad Musa Issa, and the follow-up and supervision of each of the .
lecturer Jassim Mohammed Jawad and lecturer Muhammad Walid Abdel Reda and lecturer  Raghad Karim Muslim and a group of students from the Mathematics Department, where the festival included the display of a group of posters, drawings, and handicrafts related to mathematics.
