The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit, held a symposium entitled (University Life)
The symposium was opened with a welcome speech delivered by Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Ali Jaber, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies.
Certainly, our students, their academic preparation, and their professional qualifications are the highest goals of the college, encouraging academic achievement and reflecting the honorable image of their families with their behavior and morals. They are a source of pride and pride for their academic institutions and their social affiliations.
The symposium aimed to introduce students to the most important instructions, university laws, and university characteristics, represented by the university uniform, which is the student identity and the characteristic of belonging to the university. Registration and admission channels in the college were explained to students, and the requirements for postponing studies for students.
An introduction to the time limit for university study and how to calculate absence rates. Exam instructions were explained, how to calculate the years of non-failure, and an explanation of the transit system approved in the college.
Instructions for student discipline in Iraqi universities were clarified if the justifications for forming disciplinary committees, disciplinary penalties, and laws for student affiliation to internal departments were clarified.
He also explained the role of educational guidance and psychological guidance in guiding students, whether preventive guidance, health guidance, or religious guidance, following them up, solving their behavioral and educational problems, and trying to find possible solutions.
